Here’s a pool you can enjoy without getting wet.
Argentinian artist Leandro Erlich created a mind-bending exhibit at the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, Japan that gives visitors the illusion that people are submerged in nine feet of water.
The pool is covered in a thin layer of water only four inches deep on top of a sheet of glass. Visitors can either stroll into the swimming pool -- an empty room beneath- and gaze up at the rippling water effect, or look down from above.
An Illusory Swimming Pool is framed by a limestone deck is part of the museum’s permanent exhibition.
According to the website, Erlich’s work tries to “undermine the human senses,”and “ enter into relationships with spaces, and grasp reality.”
