The travel price compare website Kayak won both the Webby Award and the People’s Voice Award for Best Travel Website, according to judges and Internet voters for the 16th annual Webby Awards.

Kayak also won The People’s Voice Award for Best Travel App, and FlightBoard also won The Webby Award in the same category.

This year's leaders in the travel category included a wide range of applications, websites, interactive media, and online video.

“This year’s winners represent an amazing cross-section of the new and continuing trends we’ve seen across the Internet this year,” said David-Michel Davies, executive director of the Webby Awards.

In the Best Tourism Website category, The New York City Tourism Bureau won The Webby Award for NYC The Official Guide and Greenland.com won the People’s Voice Award. Norway’s Tourism Bureau won The Webby Award for Best Home Page for Visit Norway 360.

Judges, including Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, Arianna Huffington and mobile phone inventor Martin Cooper selected the best of the Internet from nearly 10,000 entries from all 50 states and over 60 countries worldwide. Internet voters around the world chose the winners of The Webby People’s Voice Awards with a record of nearly 1.5 million votes cast from over 200 countries.

In the Online Film and Video categories, From Peru for Peru won both The Webby Award and The People’s Voice Award for Best Travel and Adventure Online Video. “Sonia’s Travels” won the People’s Voice Award for Best Web Personality/Host.
