PRESIDENT TRUMP BLASTING MEDIA COVERAGE
Charles Payne: Let’s face it. The media went to war with Donald Trump, the candidate. They treated him like a clown. They would not cover him as a real politician. They really beat him up over and over again. He had to get a lot of stuff off his chest. I think the American people enjoyed it as well because the media has put itself above everyone. They never pull out a mirror and look at themselves sometimes. I understand that most of them are liberal, but it is now invading their work to where they’ve lost a lot of credibility.
Charlie Gasparino: Trump answered many questions much more than President Obama ever did. Trump actually engaged with the press. What he said was pretty normal. If Trump focuses myopically on the media, he’s not going to get much done. I think that could be a problem.
Amy Holmes: At Rasmussen Reports, we noted consistently that Americans saw the media bias consistently. Even last month after the campaign is over and Donald Trump had won, nearly half of likely voters saw the media as being biased.
Gary Kaltbaum: If you turn on these networks and you look at these Chyrons, you see labels that call him bigoted, racist, and all kinds of negative adjectives like its vanilla ice cream. Last week, a reporter from the New York Times called the First Lady a hooker. You know what happened to that reporter? Nothing!
Adam Lashinsky:I could not disagree with the thrust of this conversation more. The media’s job is to hold the president accountable. The president, when he rants, raves, and whines about the treatment he is getting is doing a disservice to himself and the country. They are doing their job.
WORKERS WALKED OFF JOB AND BUSINESSES NATIONWIDE CLOSE FOR 'DAY WITHOUT IMMIGRANTS' TO PROTEST PRES TRUMP'S ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION POLICIES
Charles Payne: It’s a disingenuous way to present their argument. That DACA situation is going to be the next situation that is going to tug at our hearts but we also have to realize that we are a nation of laws that need to be followed!
Charlie Gasparino: If I skipped class to do one of these marches, my legal immigrant grandmother would stick her foot up my rear end. If you think about it, I don’t know where these kids get off skipping school. This is ridiculous. Shouldn’t they be thrown out of school for skipping?
Amy Holmes: There is a huge difference between legal and illegal immigrants. The Left has been working on this issue trying to blur those lines between legal and illegal immigrants. We’re not even supposed to call them illegal aliens anymore but instead undocumented workers.
Gary Kaltbaum: I just don’t think these people want a distinction between legal and illegal immigrants. The shame in all of this is that I know plenty of people who went through time and toil to come into this country the right way. What this protest encourages is that all you need to do is cross the border illegally and you’ll be okay.
Adam Lashinsky: The administration with its sloppily written travel ban did not allow legal immigrants and green card holders to come into this nation. This is affecting far more than just illegal immigrants
PRESSURE MOUNTING TO REPEAL AND REPLACE OBAMACARE
Charles Payne: Adding even more heat than when Aetna CEO said that ObamaCare was in a death spiral. The Republicans may need a replacement much sooner than I thought
Charlie Gasparino: I agree with Amy on this one. Having the economy grow at four percent will do a lot for the country and for repealing and replacing ObamaCare.
Amy Holmes: The IRS is not going to require people to put down if they have health insurance or not which is going to further accelerate that death spiral. I think they should be tackling jobs, and the economy first and then using that good will and political capital to tackle the ACA repeal and replacement.
Gary Kaltbaum: I’m really worried about how long this repeal is going to take. There are now 1,000 counties with just one provider. They need to get it done soon and need to get it done right.
Adam Lashinsky: They won’t get unanimous Republican support to repeal the ACA because there are so many different ideas from the more conservative House Freedom Caucus to the more moderate cliques in the Republican House.
