Let's all go "Off the Record." I'm not so sure Secretary Hillary Clinton hates the email investigation.

Think about it. She is fundraising off it. That's called political strategy. She is playing the "woe is me" card - that those mean old Republicans are after her again. And that revs up her supporters, enraging them big-time and money comes in over the transom.

But here is what you need to pay attention to: Don't get the FBI investigation over classified emails mixed up with the Benghazi Committee. The FBI is only looking at whether Secretary Clinton mishandled classified information or not. If she did, she broke the law. If she did not mishandle classified information, she did not break the law.

It's that simple. And she and Bernie Sanders may complain about it:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

BERNIE SANDERS, PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: The American people are sick and tired of hearing about your damn emails.

HILLARY CLINTON, PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE: Thank you. Me, too, me, too.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

But the fact is Secretary Clinton is in the driver's seat on how fast this investigation goes. The Republicans can't speed it up. They can't slow it down. It depends on Clinton's cooperation with the FBI. Drag her feet, it will go on forever.

The bottom line is this: Going slow, no matter what the outcome is, may be great political strategy but disappointing for the American people who deserve the answer now and deserve a race without the political games from anyone. So stay tuned, right? And that's my "Off the Record" comment tonight.
