A Way With Words
Vice President Joe Biden's words seem to have gotten away from him again. Here is what he said to victims of monster storm Sandy.

VICE PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN: As the president said when he was up here with the governor, we're not going anywhere Gov. We're not going anywhere and you've got a homeboy in the deal who gets it.

It is unclear whether the vice president was referring to President Obama or himself as the homeboy but he's being criticized over both possibilities.
An Unwelcome Proposition
The Department of Homeland Security's U.S. Citizenship and Immigrations Services (USCIS) seems to be promoting government assistance in its welcome materials.
The Daily Caller found this on the WelcometoUSA.gov website
Quote -- "Depending on your immigration status, length of time in the United States, and income, you may be eligible for some federal benefit programs."
The DHS page offers links and explanations on how to access benefits including food stamps, supplemental security income, Medicaid, Medicare and more.
Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions said of the site -- quote -- "Some of these programs are clearly not available for immigrants, and it just creates confusion."
USCIS Tells Fox News the site is not intended to advise individuals of their eligibility.
Stranger Than Fiction
And finally, a case where truth might be stranger than fiction.
PR Newser reports the Taliban's public relations team -- yes, it has one -- sent out a press release last week but sent it as a carbon copy -- not a blind carbon copy -- so all of the organization's contacts were visible.
The list included about 400 names -- most of them journalists -- but it also included members of the Afghanistan government, some professors, political activists and even sympathetic warlords.
Noting the quote "PR fail," PR Newser says sarcastically, it -- quote -- "couldn't have happened to a nicer group of guys."
