And now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine...
Staying Cool
A new study in the journal Nature Climate Change shows a long-term cooling trend playing out over the past 2,000 years.
An international team of scientists used tree-ring density measurements to reconstruct temperatures going back to 138 B.C.
They found cooling by a little over a half-degree Fahrenheit per millennium due to gradual changes in position between the sun and the earth.
They note that -- quote -- "The large-scale climate reconstruction shown by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) likely underestimate this long-term cooling trend over the past few millennia."
Four-Letter Word
While the left tries to paint Mitt Romney as a wealthy elitist his campaign is distancing itself from anything that could portray the governor as out-of-touch with Americans.
That includes the audio visual company hired to handle his Tuesday Colorado event Snob Productions. A local newspaper reports the company masked its trucks and dressed employees in shirts that didn't bear the company logo with the word "snob".
The owner says he'd never had such request before though when he worked an Obama campaign event back in 2008 – with the same company - he was asked to move a truck away from TV cameras.
Star-Crossed Lovers?
Finally, there are reports the mystery woman seen next to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un over the weekend is actually a pop star and former girlfriend.
Her hits include "I Love Pyongyang" and "We are Troops of the Party."
She is believed to have married and had a baby with an officer in the North Korean army.
When the two were younger Kim's father reportedly ordered his son to end the relationship.
