And now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine...
Scrooged
The U.S. Air Force Academy has apologized for promoting a program that sends gifts to poor children around the world.
Operation Christmas Child is sponsored by Samaritan's Purse, an organization run by evangelist Franklin Graham.
The Military Religious Freedom Foundation accused the academy of religious intolerance because Graham is a Christian minister.
The group says an e-mail sent to all 4,400 cadets, asking for donations, violated the Constitution.
The academy called the mass e-mail inappropriate and said any further messages regarding the toy drive will go through its Chaplain Corps.
Extra Shot of Support?
Is Starbucks giving a subtle nod to the Occupy Wall Street movement? We'll report and let you decide.
Photos posted around the web show what is said to be a new holiday cup from the coffee giant. It features a nutcracker whose face is the spitting image of the Guy Fawkes mask often worn by Occupy protesters.
We reached out to Starbucks for clarification but never heard back.
Capitol Idea
Finally, fourth graders on a field trip to Wisconsin's State Capitol got a full lesson in protesting.
This video taken by the Fox affiliate in Madison shows the kids on a field trip being led into the rotunda where singing demonstrators had gathered to vocalize their displeasure with Republican Governor Scott Walker.
The students were then encouraged to clap and sing along with the protesters.
The Portage school district waited 22 days to send a letter home to parents about what happened.
Parents had mixed reactions.
The teacher eventually was reprimanded but maintains he did not realize the people there were trying to advance a political cause.
