SEAN HANNITY, HOST: So while the nation struggles with massive unemployment, staggering deficits and multiple wars, President Obama, well, he's busy working on his handicap. Now, this weekend in the Buckeye State, the president is scheduled to hit the links with Vice President Joe Biden and two Ohio Republicans, Speaker of the House John Boehner and Governor John Kasich. It will be the 12th weekend in a row that our golfer in chief has played the game. He's played his 14th outing this year and the 73rd of his presidency.
Just don't expect any serious budget talks to go down in the golf course. The White House has already clarified that this is strictly a social outing, not the time for negotiations. But maybe Speaker Boehner should at least confront the president about this attack ad from the DCCC which aired in Ohio this spring. Let's take a look.

HANNITY: And joining me now is one of the men that's going to be teeing it up with the president this Father's Day weekend, Ohio Governor John Kasich. I understand you are a pretty good golfer, governor, is that true?
GOV. JOHN KASICH, R-OHIO: Well, you know, Sean. I don't have as much time to play anymore. As you know, you get busy in this job. And you should be. And, but you know, Sean, it is really -- there's so much polarization in Washington. I've got to tell you. You know, I did the budget -- I was the chief architect with a great team of people in '97 to get our budget balanced. And I have to tell you that the ability to treat somebody as a human being and not as a political opponent, although you are always going to be philosophically different, it just creates a different dynamic. And as you know, this country needs a solution on this debt limit. And you know, just be there and be part of this. And there's a few things that, you know, I might be able to talk to the president and vice president about, as well. You know, some of these personal relationships are good to develop. And you remember Reagan and O'Neill, I mean, Tip O'Neill and Reagan fought like cats and dogs. But at the end of the day, they put the country first.
HANNITY: All right. But here's the problem. It was the president, you know, passed this health care bill, he cut $500 billion in Medicare, $500 billion. Republicans didn't do that. You see the ad there, where old people are having to work and push lawnmowers. How are they going to pay for the $12,000?
First of all, no old people are included in the Ryan plan. So it is deceiving. The president himself said that the Republican plan is going to have children with autism, Down syndrome and the elderly fending for themselves. So, he's demagoguing it. And you are going to sit with him. How do you, you know, I would have a very hard time saying, why do you support these lies? Because it is just a lie, it is not true.
KASICH: Well, Sean, you know, I've been with the president. I had one exchange with him in the Blair House when I was first elected governor. The president came in and campaigned against me 12 times. And, you know, I mean, it didn't work. If you're going to be -- it didn't work. So, regardless of the golf outcome, you know, I won the election.
But Sean, part of this is, when you don't know who the opponent is and you don't know what they are made of, it is a lot easier to attack somebody, than when you have to look at them and get to know them a little bit and treat them as a human being, and you know, that was my experience in Washington. I got to know people.
HANNITY: Wait a minute.
KASICH: Go ahead.
HANNITY: Paul Ryan sat there in front of President Obama, and they had a relationship. Then, he just went out there in front of Paul Ryan, tried to humiliate him, embarrass him.
KASICH: You know, what I do, well, what I do -- what I've done Sean, is I call people on it. Look, out here in Ohio, we are about to eliminate an $8 billion budget deficit, we're cutting taxes. We've starred our problems square in the eye. And we are getting Ohio on the right track. We are open for business now. And believe me, I am going to communicate to everyone who will listen, that we did not look for a bailout. We did not look for somebody else to solve our problems. We are couple of weeks away from having a final agreement on a conference committee that will set our house in order. And, you know, why? Because we had the courage to look problems in the eye. We didn't play short term politics. We are thinking about Ohio's future.
And you are going to hear a lot of this out of me, Sean. And, you know, maybe that's one of the things that I will be able to communicate. But, you know, we've been invited for a social event. I'll handle it appropriately. But, you know, nobody will ever really know what gets discussed during those 18 holes of golf. But I think it will be beneficial for the country. At least I hope so, Sean.
HANNITY: Are you going to come on the program and tell us what goes on during those 18 holes of golf?
KASICH: Oh, you know I will, Sean. You know I'll come and tell everybody.
HANNITY: Will you do me a favor? Because I can't get the president. He doesn't have the courage come on "Hannity." He goes and gets his softball interviews wherever he goes. Will you work on my behalf? I endorsed you for governor, I supported your run.
KASICH: Yes.
HANNITY: I think maybe you could say, why don't you go on my buddy Hannity's program?
KASICH: OK. And what pitch do you think I should make as to why he should appear?
HANNITY: Because I think people would like to see him and I debate, that's why.
(LAUGHTER)
KASICH: Sean, you know what I'm going to tell him? I'm going to tell him, you know, Hannity, he may have strong opinions, he's a heck of a good guy. He's a good father and a good husband. And give Hannity some time.
HANNITY: He won't buy this. He won't believe it.
KASICH: Come on Mr. President.
HANNITY: They won't even give me -- look, they even invited O'Reilly to the Christmas party. I didn't get a Christmas Party invite. I went to the Bush Christmas party, there were all sorts of liberals there.
KASICH: Listen, let me tell you something. One thing that I guess I want to emphasize again is what we are doing here. We build a team of people committed to solving problems and taking on all the issues. I give you example on Medicaid, we're saving billions of dollars. And, you know, why? We focused on six percent that dives over 50 percent of the cost. And we're giving them care coordination, so they get better care at a lower price, everybody wins. If you start looking problems square in the eye and cut out the politics, put the country first, our state first, it is amazing what you can do. I did it in '97 with my friends. We are about to do it with some great partners here in Ohio. And I'm going to keep talking about it.
HANNITY: I think the president and the vice president, they have it out for you because Ohio is a must win state for both parties. So I'm not sure if he's really going to be your friend.
KASICH: I'm going to stand behind them on the tee.
HANNITY: OK, not a bad idea. What is your handicap?
KASICH: Not as good as it used to be, Sean. There are some things that ought to remain private.
HANNITY: Well, what did it used to be?
KASICH: It used to be single digits.
HANNITY: All right, that's better than mine because I don't ever play. But anyway, John Kasich, good to see you.
KASICH: I know you don't.
