The graphic designer behind Apple’s legendary pirate flag is peddling hand-painted replicas of the original.

Ex-Apple employee Susan Kare is offering the limited edition custom-painted look-a-likes in two sizes that cost $1,900 and $2,500, The Verge reported Saturday.

Kare painted the Jolly Roger to invoke Apple founder Steve Jobs’ declaration, “It’s better to be a pirate than join the navy.”

She painted over the eye-patch with Apple’s own eye-catching rainbow-colored logo. The flag could be seen above Jobs' office on the Apple campus after the Mac team moved into the building in 1983.
