An argument over two stolen cases of beer led to the fatal shooting this weekend of a Utah man, the Salt Lake Tribune reported Monday.
Robert Ramirez, 26, was shot over the weekend at a house party. His brother Greg told the Tribune that he was arguing with several men who took beer brought to the house party, held a half-block from the University of Utah campus.
Four people were arrested in connection with the shooting: Theophales Othow Kur of Murray; Benjamin Valentine Calbert of Sandy; Stanley Mputu of Salt Lake City; and Michael Rix.
"He didn't make high-risk choices like this," Greg Ramirez said of his brother's decision to argue about the beer.
