Michigan Teen Gets 10-20 Years for Football Shootings

A 16-year-old has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for shooting four people near a middle school football game in Michigan.

Saginaw County Circuit Judge Fred Borchard sentenced Anthony Green Jr. to 10 to 20 years in prison on four counts of assault with intent to murder.

Green admitted shooting two teens and a married couple with a .22-caliber rifle outside South Middle School in 2007. He previously had been arguing with some classmates.

His defense attorney says Green pleaded guilty to avoid the risk of a life sentence if convicted.

The two youngest victims attended the same high school as Green. One of them, a 16-year-old boy, was critically wounded.
