No one has been charged in Howard's death.

At Saturday's game against West Virginia, Connecticut players held hands and bowed their heads during a moment of silence in memory of Howard. Two UConn players carried Howard's helmet and No. 6 jersey from the locker room before kickoff and both West Virginia and Connecticut players wore stickers on their helmets during the game.
