China Reports Case of Human Bird Flu

A Chinese farmer contracted the virulent H5N1 strain of bird flu, but has recovered and been released from a hospital, a government news agency reported Wednesday.

The 37-year-old farmer in the eastern province of Anhui fell ill in December but is "fully recovered" and left a hospital this week, the China News Service reported.
