Now some fresh pickings from the Political Grapevine:

Deja Vu

President Obama has been heckled again during a fundraiser for California Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer over the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy.

The most recent incident happened Tuesday night and the president wasn't amused. Mr. Obama went on to heckle his heckler, joking the man's heart didn't seem in it.

(BEGIN CLIP)

PRESIDENT OBAMA: You said do it faster, it's like c'mon man, I'm dealing with Congress here, it takes a little bit of time.

(END CLIP)

Earlier Tuesday, after the president's meeting with Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill, Pat Roberts of Kansas said Mr. Obama has thin skin.

Spy Games

The CIA considered depicting Saddam Hussein as gay ahead of the 2003 Iraq invasion.

The Washington Post reports two former CIA officials say one idea was to create a video purporting to show the Iraqi dictator having sex with a teenage boy in hopes of discrediting him in the eyes of his people: "It would look like it was taken by a hidden camera— very grainy— like it was a secret videotaping of a sex session."

A U.S. official would not confirm the report, but said if such ideas were ever floated, they clearly didn't go anywhere.

First Aid for Fighters

And the International Red Cross says it will continue giving first aid training and kits to Taliban fighters in Afghanistan despite worldwide criticism.

The politically-neutral organization says it trained more than 70 members of the insurgency in first aid last month. A spokesman for the Red Cross defends the practice, saying its policy has always been to treat people, regardless of background or affiliation.
