GROTON, Conn. – An autopsy has failed to immediately determine what killed a Connecticut woman whose body was found stuffed in a freezer in her Groton home.
Madeline Brisson's boyfriend, 49-year-old Luis Otero, is charged with murder in her death. He was being held Wednesday on $2 million bond.
An autopsy Wednesday could not determine how Brisson died. A a spokeswoman from the state medical examiner's office says more work is being done to determine the cause.
Brisson's body was found Sunday night in the freezer in her home, although authorities are unsure whether she died that day or earlier.
Otero returns to New London Superior Court on March 24.
