Nancy's New Friends
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has never been a big fan of the Tea Party movement. You may remember her saying this last year:

But now the San Francisco speaker is changing her tune. In an interview on ABC's "This Week" she did a little backpedaling:

PELOSI: But you know we share some of the views of the Tea Partiers in terms of the role of special interests in Washington, D.C.. It has to stop. And many Tea Partiers — not that I speak for them — share the view, whether it's — and Democrats, Republicans and independents share the view that the recent Supreme Court decision, which greatly empowers the special interest, is something that they oppose.

Wow. Part of the Tea Party movement? Who knew!
Unfortunately for Speaker Pelosi, I'm guessing, the Tea Party participants probably feel a little differently.
The Kiss of Death
We've mentioned before that President Obama seems to be somewhat of a curse for Democratic candidates, meaning he campaigns for them and then they lose. Well, the trend continues in Nevada.
On a recent trip to Las Vegas, the president mentioned Prince Harry Reid by name about four dozen times, and it turns out that did not do Prince Harry much good. A new Mason-Dixon poll shows that while seven percent said the president's visit made them more likely to vote for Prince Harry, 17 percent said it had the opposite effect. Seventy-five percent were apparently unaffected by the anointed one's visit.
I can only hope the president continues to hit the campaign trail for each and every single Democratic candidate.
Soros Slams the Pres
Warren Buffett is not the only billionaire investor criticizing President Obama these days. Left-wing activist George Soros — who helped bankroll part of the Obama campaign — is now airing some grievances that he has with the administration. Apparently Mr. Soros is not a fan of all the bank bailouts that President Obama approved:

GEORGE SOROS, SOROS FUND MANAGEMENT: The solution that he found to the financial crisis, which was to effectively bailout the banks and allow them to earn their way out of the hole, was, in my opinion, not the right solution.

True to his left-wing form, Soros says the right move would have been for the government to take over the banks.
Of course. Isn't that always the answer for socialist liberals?
Out From His Igloo
Chief global warming alarmist Al Gore dug himself out from beneath several feet of snow left by the recent blizzards in Northeast and reemerged where else but on the editorial pages of The New York "Obama" Times.
According to Mr. Gore, despite the Climate Gate e-mail scandal and the IPCC's false signs being exposed, global warming is still a threat. In a painfully long and oftentimes desperate op-ed, Gore writes, "The scientific enterprise will never be completely free of mistakes. What is important is that the overwhelming consensus on global warming remains unchanged."
Coming from a guy who's been cashing in on global warming since he left the White House, call me crazy, but I'm not believing Al Gore any more.
Did he take his private jet this weekend? Just asking.
