Carter: The Sequel
Former President Jimmy Carter is fuming. Given his disastrous record in office you would think that he would be happy to be compared to the Anointed One, but apparently President Obama has made such a mess that even Carter is now distancing himself.
When foreign policy analyst Walter Russell Meade compared the two in the journal Foreign Policy, Carter submitted a letter to the editor noting this displeasure, stating, "I resent Meade's use of such phrases as, 'In the worst scenario turn him [Obama] into a new Jimmy Carter' to describe my service."
Carter concludes that during his presidency "we greatly expanded our global influence and also protected the security, strength, ideals and integrity of the U.S."
Judging by the way things are going, I predict by 2012 President Obama will want to be compared to Carter.
Approaching Storm
Bad news for global warming alarmists: Oklahoma Senator James Inhofe is challenging the Environmental Protection Agency's authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions in this country because the agency has relied on bad science — in particular, the 2007 report issued by the United Nations Climate Change Panel based on a student paper, a handful of magazine articles and some fraudulent data.
Here is what Inhofe told Fox News on the subject:

SENATOR JAMES INHOFE, R-OKLA.: Now we find the big thing is, we can't forget it, they cook the science on which all this was predicated. They are trying to change now and say well, we never did say global warming, we said extreme weather. That dog won't hunt.

We here at "Hannity" wish Senator Inhofe the best of luck in his battle with the EPA. A victory for Inhofe is going to be a victory for the free market and all Americans.
Rielle's Fan Club
Rielle Hunter has been the subject of thousands of headlines ever since details of her affair with John Edwards were made public, but the most unusual headline of all has to be a Newsweek article titled "The Quiet Dignity of Rielle Hunter."
Yes, it appears the magazine is very impressed with Hunter's behavior throughout the scandal, applauding the fact that there has been "no crying TV confession, no Playboy centerfold, no book deal," even bizarrely proclaiming that "character comes out in a sex scandal."
So I guess if you destroy a marriage but stay out of Playboy, you too could be in the running for Newsweek magazine's person of the year.
Tiger Who?
He's making headlines, on the cover of magazines and in the news each and every day, so by now surely everybody knows who Tiger Woods is, right?
Wrong.
In a recent interview with the AP, the Dalai Lama revealed that he's never heard of him. But when asked if he had any advice for the former number one golfer in the world, the Dalai Lama said Woods should focus more on self-discipline, which is one of Buddhism's highest values.
Wait a minute. Didn't Bill Murray once play golf with the Dalai Lama?
