NEWARK, N.J. – A New Jersey father pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges stemming from the disappearance of his 3-month-old daughter.
Officials say Shamsiddi Abdur-Raheem told them he had thrown the child off a Garden State Parkway bridge on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old appeared composed during his video arraignment in Newark to kidnapping, attempted murder, aggravated assault and child endangerment charges.
There was no reaction from the child's mother, who watched in court.
