BUFFALO, N.Y. – A 13-year-old girl has testified that she had sex three times a day with a western New York man at his home, but waited until January to tell her mother because she didn't want him to get in trouble.
The girl took the stand Thursday during a court hearing in Buffalo for 26-year-old Michael Abdallah, who was arrested last week on charges of second-degree rape, unlawful imprisonment and custodial interference.
Police say he held the runaway in an apartment from July to December, had sex with her more than 100 times and made her babysit his 1-year-old son. Defense lawyer Frank Bogulski says the girl lied to avoid trouble after police began questioning her about a severe burn on the boy's hand.
The judge doubled Abdallah's bail to $500,000 and sent the case to a grand jury.
