A southwest Ohio sheriff says a 14-year-old boy accused of raping a woman, beating her with a weapon and robbing her was arrested.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones says the teenager was arrested Monday afternoon on charges of aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, rape, kidnapping and felonious assault. He was being held in juvenile detention.

Jones says the Liberty Township woman said someone knocked on her door about 3 a.m. Monday and a teenager with a gun entered her mobile home. She told police he beat her with the weapon, raped her and demanded she drive him to an ATM. Police say the suspect jumped from her car, taking her purse.

Police say the woman was hospitalized for injuries, including a gash to the head.
