Police say officers were called in to help with an unruly crowd at the Delta Air Lines terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey spokesman Steve Coleman said that Delta asked the authority to send in officers Tuesday morning to help with crowd control, and the situation was resolved within an hour.

Delta Air Lines spokeswoman Susan Elliott said a number of people whose flight to Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, was canceled in Sunday's storm have been trying to get home on standby, but haven't been having any luck.

She said they'll all be placed on a new flight now scheduled for Wednesday. The airline announced the new flight on Tuesday. Elliott said the decision had nothing to do with any disruption at the airport.
