Police: U.K. Man Murdered Wife, Dumped Body in Garage

A British man has been arrested after the body of his newlywed wife was found dumped in a garage at their home, police told Sky News.

Officers discovered Vicky Roberts' body at the couple's home in Cheshire, U.K., after being called on Thursday night.

Cheshire Police were contacted by the victim's father who was concerned he had not heard from his daughter.

The couple married last June and photographs of their wedding celebrations were posted on Roberts' Facebook page.

A police spokeswoman confirmed the death is being treated as murder and early signs were that she had been strangled.

A manhunt had taken place for 26-year-old Roberts before he was arrested in Wrexham, U.K.
