One man is under arrest in the theft of a watch from a dying man in a Philadelphia hospital waiting room and police are seeking two accomplices.

Police say Richard Alten and two others swiped the watch from the wrist of 63-year-old Joaquin Rivera on Saturday night.

Investigators say Rivera had arrived at the hospital in the city's Frankford neighborhood complaining of chest pains but lost consciousness as he awaited treatment. Police say that's when Alten and two others slipped off his watch.

Police say a witness saw the crime and noticed Rivera had apparently stopped breathing. Hospital workers rushed him to the emergency room but he was pronounced dead around midnight.

Alten was arrested in the hospital and remains in custody.
