A 25-year-old woman who says she suffered from a neurological movement disorder after getting a flu shot is on the road to recovery, MyFoxDC reported.
Desiree Jennings, an ambassador for the Washington Redskins, said she developed dystonia, a disorder where muscle contractions cause involuntary body jerks and repetitive movements 10 days after getting her flu shot.
But these days, Jennings can walk on her own and smile once again.
"Overall, I think my spirits are higher," Jennings said. "I definitely feel light -- I have a positive future. Hopefully, this will all get better."

Jennings suffered from several seizures a day, had difficulty walking and talking and trouble breathing. She recieved treatment from Dr. Rashid Buttar, a physician from Charlotte, N.C., who practices preventative medicine.
Buttar said Jennings' ailments were "absolutely" the result of the flu shot.
"We took the toxins out of her system, we supported her system, we reduced inflammation and we started treating her injuries by giving her a certain amount of nutrients that the brain needed to repair the neuroreceptors," Buttar said.
Jennings also spent time in a hyperbaric chamber.
