Two police officers in Glendale, Arizona have resigned following accusations that one of the officers had sex with a female co-worker while on-duty, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported.

Officer Adam Fisher is charged with having sex with Shannon Godina, a police records employee in Glendale, according to an internal investigation cited by MyFoxPhoenix.com.

Fisher and Godina allegedly met as many as five times at Godina's home last year while Fisher was supposed to be on patrol, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported.

Godina allegedly confessed to having sex with Fisher, adding that she wanted to leave her post at the records office to become a police officer, according to MyFoxPhoenix.com. Godina was fired.

Police investigating the affair over the past year also reportedly found that Fisher and another officer, Daniel Arreola, were doctoring time sheets and sending sexually and racially offensive messages to other officers in Glendale, MyFoxPhoenix.com reported.

Both Fisher and Arreola resigned after Glendale Police Chief Steve Conrad sent a notice stating his intent to fire them.
