The FBI has launched a nationwide manhunt for a man dubbed the "granddad bandit" for a series of bank robberies this year.
He earned the nickname "granddad bandit" for the way bank tellers describe him. He is seen in surveillance video as a balding, stocky man, between 50 and 60 years old, wearing glasses.
He is suspected of robbing at least nine banks since April, from Houston to Syracuse, N.Y., and a $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest, MyFoxAtlanta.com reports.
The FBI says he only asks for a specific amount of money when he commits these robberies.
A nationwide alert was released Wednesday.
