A police standoff with two suspected robbers who tried to hold up a cab driver in Florida ended with the pair in custody Friday, WSVN.com reported.

Police in Oakland Park, Fla., had to call in the SWAT team to catch the two suspects at a house, where they fled after attempting to rob the taxi driver at gunpoint Friday morning, according to WSVN.

The two are believed to have pretended they needed a ride and then pulled a gun on the cabbie when he stopped.

The driver escaped unharmed and called 911.

The suspects were taken into custody without incident, according to WSVN.
