BILL O'REILLY, HOST: In the "At Your Beck and Call" segment tonight: Our pal Glenn Beck is causing trouble as usual, and he wants to hear from his critics in the Obama administration, so he's done this:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GLENN BECK, FOX NEWS ANCHOR: The phone could ring at any time. We wanted to make sure that they actually knew the phone number. So we sent them a registered letter today to make sure what's her name, Anita Dunn, knew the phone number so the White House could call us on anything that we get wrong. Because, gosh, if they don't call us pretty soon and correct some of these vast mistakes that we're making all the time, then it seems like maybe the White House has engaged in a smear campaign.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

O'REILLY: Ooh. Here now, the scourge of the political scene, Glenn Beck, the author of two best-sellers, "Common Sense" and "Arguing with Idiots." Beck, I have the decency to just write one book at time, yes.

GLENN BECK: I wrote one at a time. I did.

O'REILLY: You have two out. I mean, you know, you're pushing it. All right. Now, look, this brouhaha with the White House has helped you. It's helped me. Our ratings are very, very strong. So why do you continue to pick on poor Anita Dunn? Why do you continue to do that?

Click here to watch Beck in the No Spin Zone!

BECK: Why am I picking on Anita Dunn?

O'REILLY: Yes, why are you picking on her?

BECK: You know, I have a problem with the seeming overwhelming number of people who are in love with Karl Marx and his philosophy that are in the White House, and I have been lining them all out this week. And, of course, the White House has said that they have — they have a problem with FOX News, because we just keep getting stories wrong. So, we installed — that is a hard line phone, right directly to the White House. Anita Dunn has the phone number. She's the one — hi Anita — probably watching right now, watching you, watching me. She is the one who has been put in charge…

O'REILLY: And you can call...

BECK: That you can call any time. And we have confirmation from her assistant…

O'REILLY: Right.

BECK: …she has the number. Not once has she called. Now, why?

O'REILLY: Maybe, maybe you haven't made any — made any mistakes this week. Maybe you haven't.

BECK: That would be...

O'REILLY: Maybe you've been accurate.

BECK: That would be — I believe that to be true. But that would be troubling for the republic if that were true.

O'REILLY: No, we want you to be accurate.

BECK: Did you see the show tonight?

O'REILLY: I did not see it, OK. But Anita did. She got a transcript. I don't think Anita is on the edge of her chair, watching you, but...

BECK: She's — she watched tonight.

O'REILLY: Anyway, taunting the White House, is that a good thing?

BECK: Me? Taunting the White House?

O'REILLY: Taunting the White House.

BECK: That's a smear. That is a smear campaign.

O'REILLY: Come on, Beck. You're bear-baiting them. They have - - we have a carrot right next to his nose.

BECK: What? What? No.

O'REILLY: Come on, come on, come on.

BECK: Here's the thing. Here's the thing.

O'REILLY: Yes.

BECK: I have been asking for answers on questions.

O'REILLY: And you don't get them.

BECK: And what happens is they just sweep people away, and they're like what? What guy is in here? What? I don't know what you're even talking about. You just sent him over to the Center for American Progress, and they never answer a question. So then what do they do? When they can't beat you on the facts, then they smear you and say, "Well, that's not" — just not what I've been asking them. What have we gotten wrong? What have we gotten wrong? I'll correct it. I'll lead with it. I've installed a phone on the set. You're the only people with the number. That's not baiting. That's just saying stop smearing. Answer the question. Tell us what we've gotten wrong. We'll correct it, if we have. And let's move forward.

O'REILLY: I want to say to you, if Andrew Jackson were president instead of Barack Obama...

BECK: Yes?

O'REILLY: ...he'd shoot you dead.

BECK: Yes, he probably would.

O'REILLY: He would shoot you.

BECK: You know why? Because they didn't have phones back then. But he could have had...

O'REILLY: He had a courier. You would have given him a courier.

BECK: Here's the thing.

O'REILLY: A horse rider.

BECK: They said that we're — they didn't call us the enemy. They called us...

O'REILLY: Opponents.

BECK: Opponents. I kind of take this if you're in — if you're in the Oval Office...

O'REILLY: Yes.

BECK: ...they used to have the red phone where you'd go, "Da?" And you'd say, "Yes, that was Russia."

O'REILLY: That was — that was to prevent nuclear war.

BECK: Right.

O'REILLY: Now, the Glenn Beck program just below that. Just below that.

BECK: Did you see...

O'REILLY: Yes.

BECK: ...did you see the show tonight? I told you, I hadn't had the — maybe you don't — maybe you don't need a red phone. We need a red phone.

O'REILLY: OK.

BECK: And it's appropriate — it's appropriate that that phone is red.

O'REILLY: I'm giving you jazz. But Beck does have a legitimate point, and the point is if you're going to make a big jihad about FOX News being a Republican Party and propaganda outfit, then tell us specifically what we're getting wrong.

BECK: Yes. That's all.

O'REILLY: We didn't get ACORN wrong, did we?

BECK: No.

O'REILLY: No. Didn't get Van Jones wrong.

BECK: No.

O'REILLY: Didn't get that wrong.

BECK: Didn't get the NEA wrong. Got called in smeared — smeared all over the place for the NEA. Didn't get it wrong.

O'REILLY: So if we are getting it wrong, we'd like to know. Now, the stock market is going crazy. Last...

BECK: Put your money in there, Bill.

O'REILLY: Last week...

BECK: Put a lot of money in there.

O'REILLY: ...on this program, you were throwing dollars all over the place saying no. But the stock market is going crazy.

BECK: That's great. You know, I had a big — I remember it because the stock market was, like, at 1390 or 1410, something like that. And I had some big wig on the air. And it was like, you — there's no place to go but up. And I remember looking at the camera, saying, "Get your money out." OK. Sir, great. It's 10,000.

O'REILLY: Yes.

BECK: And it's built on what exactly? How many real things?

O'REILLY: Good earnings. Good earnings from JPMorgan.

BECK: Good earnings, really?

O'REILLY: That's a big company. It's a big bank.

BECK: I know. And I have been so concerned about their welfare. Aren't you glad to hear...

O'REILLY: I don't know. Neil Cavuto. Cavuto knows.

BECK: Thank goodness they've been saved.

O'REILLY: But — but they had earnings, and that's why they're up.

BECK: That's good.

O'REILLY: You're not buying that.

BECK: That they had good earnings? No, I believe — I believe they had good earnings. I believe Goldman had good earnings. Uh-huh.

O'REILLY: But you're not investing, are you?

BECK: No.

O'REILLY: Burying that money in the backyard.

BECK: No. Not money. I think it may be — this is just a theory. Invest in pine needles. We may go to an all-pine-needle currency. It's — I'm just guessing.

O'REILLY: You know, some people think you're just way out there. Do you know that?

BECK: Really?

O'REILLY: Yes. A few. Not many.

BECK: Just way out there? Not certifiably nuts?

O'REILLY: Way — way out there.

BECK: Yes — no.

O'REILLY: I think there's a method to your madness.

BECK: Yes, I think they would have said — yes, there is. I think they would have said the same thing if tinfoil would have been around with some of the founders...

O'REILLY: Yes. Yes.

BECK: Thomas Jefferson would have been wearing a tri-cornered, tinfoil hat.

O'REILLY: They would have had that?

BECK: They would have had it.

O'REILLY: All right, Beck. You keep your — you let us know immediately if you get a call on that red phone.

(CROSSTALK)

BECK: GlennBeck.com. I'm just throwing that out there.

O'REILLY: You get — you get called on that red phone?

BECK: Yes.

O'REILLY: We're the first to know.

BECK: You've got it.
