Someone is stealing laptops from Tucson high schools. Officials say that over the last two months, 64 Apple and HP laptops have been lifted. Tucson Police are leading the investigation.

The most recent theft was last week at Cholla High School, where someone got into a classroom and stole 14 laptops.

Before school started, 50 laptops were taken from Tucson High School.

With the recent wave of laptop thefts at TUSD, some computer-based activities are being cut short.

District administrators say they are working on getting surveillance cameras to prevent future thefts, but increased security presents another problem and that is funding.

Anyone with information or may know who is responsible for the thefts is asked to call 88-CRIME.
