EXCLUSIVE: What Dish Brings Pregnant Padma Lakshmi to her Knees?

“Top Chef” beauty Padma Lakshmi just announced that despite her long struggle with endometriosis (which can lead to infertility) she is expecting her first child - although no word on the due date or baby daddy has been released just yet, and Ms. Lakshmi hasn’t gone public with any romantic interests since divorcing novelist Salman Rushdie in 2007.

However one thing we do know is that there is only one way to win Ms. Lakshmi over…

“I think the way to anybody’s heart is through their stomach. The way to my heart is through my stomach - with a really great bowl of spaghetti,” Padma Lakshmi told the upcoming issue of VEGAS Magazine which hits stands Friday (in which they refer to her as a ‘single girl’).

And although the “Top Chef” has developed a very intimate relationship with the world’s finest culinary delights from fois gras to caviar to crème brulee, her own tongue is far from rich.

“I do eat really simple things, I’ll eat a hot dog. I think most chefs do prefer to eat simple things because you’re around food all the time; you don’t want to eat all of that,” she added. “I have a very sensitive palate. Even if I’m not hungry, I can taste something and break down if it’s good, why it’s good, what's in it…You just have to look at it more like a bloodhound or a scientist.”

Kristin Cavallari Says 'The Hills' Is Just a Part-Time Job, Disses Lauren Conrad as 'Boring'

Despite never watching a single episode of “The Hills”, the new narrator Kristin Cavallari (who said she still wants to be a ‘serious’ actress in the long-term) is back and as bad as ever - although she doesn’t believe she is a nasty girl, she just knows what she wants in life.

“You have no control, no matter what you do they will make you seem how they want to make you seem. Everybody thinks I’m a b**ch, I’m okay with that. For the show it’s fun to play the bad girl on TV, it’s actually funny,” Cavallari told us at the recent Alice + Olivia Spring 2010 Presentation in New York. “But I also think that a strong woman, someone who really speaks their mind gets mistaken for being a b**ch, anytime a woman speaks her mind she is labeled a b**ch. It’s not fair.”

But even when the cameras aren’t rolling, Cavallari certainly isn’t afraid to speak her mind.

“Everybody thinks Lauren (Conrad) was such a sweet, nice girl but truth is she has no personality,” “The Hills” hottie continued. “She is boring.”

(Mind you, we also caught up with LC recently during the launch of her new line with Kohl’s Department Stores and she admitted that all she really did on the hit MTV show was “narrate and make expressions”, although she was nice about Miss Cav and thought her replacement would “do a good job”).

And while we hear Cavallari is banking around $90,000 dollars an episode, it’s just a little side gig for the 22-year-old.

“We film three days a week for a couple of hours, it is not like I’m always with cameras. It is like having a part-time job, you just show up for a couple of hours and do your thing and leave so it’s very easy actually,” Cavallari explained.

As for the status of her relationship with Audrina Patridge, who apparently isn’t returning to the show…

“I don’t know what the deal is with her not coming back,” Miss Cav said. “I haven’t officially heard she's leaving, so whatever.”

Timberlake’s Pals Thought He Was Too Good For Jessica?

Word on the street is that Justin Timberlake has called it quits with his girlfriend of three years, Jessica Biel, but could the split be a result of pressure from his pals?

According to a source close to the couple, their relationship has been on edge for quite some time.

“Jessica always seemed like she was in a bad mood and didn’t want to talk to people. Whereas Justin was always down with chilling out and having a good time, he liked boys’ nights out and did everything he could to encourage her to have fun while they were out,” said an insider. “But everyone always thought he was too good for her.”
