British police are searching for the man who they believe raped a seven-month pregnant woman as two accomplices held her husband at gunpoint, The Sun reported.

Three masked men reportedly burst into the couple's Finsbury, U.K. home and the alleged rapist dragged the expecting mother to a bedroom.

The alleged attacker told his victim, "It's your lucky day" as he carried out the purported assault, The Sun reported.

"At that stage I just wanted to protect my baby," the victim told The Sun.

"I was terrified, with it being so late in the pregnancy. I didn't want to get into a fight where they may hurt me or the baby," The Sun quoted the woman as saying.

Her 39-year-old husband tried to save his wife. "I pleaded, I was shouting, 'She's pregnant, she's pregnant, leave off her. Tell me what you want,'" he told The Sun.

The gang had produced a metal object wrapped in a bag, which they said was a gun, and put it to the man's head.
