GALENA, Kan. – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Coffeyville police have joined the Cherokee County Sheriff's Department in investigating the death of a 19-year-old Coffeyville woman.
The body of Brittany Fox was found Tuesday morning in a ditch in southeastern Cherokee County.
The Joplin Globe reports that the Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves said the cause of death was not obvious, and that there were no obvious injuries to the body. An autopsy has been ordered.
Groves said interviews were being conducted in Coffeyville related to the death investigation.
