The University of Kansas is asking students who are suffering from swine flu to stay home until they are well.

The university has 32 confirmed cases of the virus, and university officials are asking its 27,000 students to take action to avoid it.

The Kansas City Star says students with the virus are being asked to stay home until their temperature is normal for 24 hours. Those living in dormitories are being told to stay in their rooms and limit contact with other students.

University spokesman Todd Cohen says roomates of ill students will be moved out of dorm rooms, and the students will have food brought to them.
