A nurse has been arrested on suspicion of poisoning two colleagues at a British hospital.
It comes after police were called in to investigate two alleged incidents involving pain relief drugs at Horsham Hospitalin West Sussex.
One of the suspected cases was in May and the other in July.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "A 60-year-old Horsham woman has been arrested for allegedly administering poison with intent on injury, following allegations from two colleagues.
"She remains on police bail and has been suspended from work."
Sussex Police said there were no reports of similar incidents being uncovered during the inquiry.
There was also no suggestion that there was a risk of harm to patients or members of the public, officers added.
West Sussex Primary Care Trust said it had launched an external review alongside its joint investigation with police.
A spokesman for the trust told Sky News Online about the condition of the alleged victims.
He said: "They are fine. They are fully recovered. There was no need for them to be hospitalized and there was no lasting damage."
Eileen Clark, interim director of operations with responsibility for Horsham Hospital, said: "It is important to stress that the police investigation is not concerned with matters of patient safety, or direct patient care.
"Patient safety is of course our highest priority, and so to give us complete reassurance we have also commissioned an external review to satisfy us that patients received the appropriate care at all times."
