Authorities in southern Wisconsin say a Tennessee man suffered minor injuries when his small plane flipped over on an airport runway.

Green County deputies say 58-year-old pilot William R. Fisher of Jackson, Tenn. didn't require hospitalization. He was the only person in the plane.

Authorities say the plane flipped over Friday about noon at the Brodhead Airport. Officials say a preliminary investigation shows the single-engine aircraft was touching down when the landing gear collapsed, causing the plane to overturn.

The crash damaged the plane's canopy, tail section, wing, and landing gear.

Green County authorities say they notified the Federal Aviation Administration as a routine step.

Brodhead is about 20 miles southwest of Janesville.
