A Star magazine reporter has resigned after admitting to a relationship with “Jon and Kate Plus Eight” star Jon Gosselin.
Kate Major, a senior reporter for the celebrity gossip magazine, announced her resignation Thursday, citing a conflict of interest between her professional reporting duties and her relationship with Gosselin, Star magazine told FOXNews.com via statement.
Major was first spotted with Gosselin outside of a New York restaurant Saturday. The two later made headlines when they were spied in the Hamptons having dinner together, along with Michael Lohan and “Real Housewives of New York” star Jill Zarin.
"I didn't mean it to happen, it just did," Kate, 26, told Star. "I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him."
Last week, rumors swirled that Jon was engaged to another twenty-something, when photos of him with 22-year-old party girl Hailey Glassman in St. Tropez surfaced.
