Ministry Must Release Employment Records of Illinois Man Accused of Strangling Family

A judge says an international ministry must publicly release its employment records for a former bodyguard accused of strangling his wife and two sons in their southwestern Illinois home.

Joyce Meyer Ministries had sought to keep the more than 400 pages of documents sought by attorneys in a wrongful-death lawsuit against Christopher Coleman confidential.

But a judge ruled Monday that they must be released.

Coleman has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder charges in the May deaths of his wife, Sheri Coleman, and their two sons, ages 11 and 9. Their bodies were found in the family's Columbia home.

Investigators say Coleman was having an affair with a Florida woman.

Sheri Coleman's family has filed a wrongful-death lawsuit against Coleman.
