ROGERS, Ark. – A lawsuit filed by a Rogers woman claims doctors failed to notify her of a brain tumor although they performed tests that showed it.
The lawsuit was filed Friday by Linda Beaty. It names Mercy Health Systems, six doctors and their insurers as defendants.
Mercy spokesman Kyle Weaver says Mercy had no comment on the lawsuit.
The lawsuit alleges Beaty had an MRI performed by Mercy in 2007. The lawsuit says the MRI revealed a brain tumor, and was signed by two radiologists. But it says nobody informed Beaty of the tumor.
In May 2008, Beaty had a seizure. She was taken to Mercy Hospital where a CT scan was performed and doctors informed her of the tumor.
The tumor was removed a month later.
