New Jersey Woman Struck by Ambulance While Sitting on Porch

WOODBINE, N.J. – A Woodbine woman was sitting on her front porch when an ambulance, lights on and siren blaring, swerved off the road and crashed into her.

Martha Perez suffered injuries to her head and face Monday night. She was later released from a hospital.

Police say the Belleplain Rescue Squad ambulance was responding to another call when the driver lost control.

The driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries.

State Police are investigating.
