California police are searching for a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since Friday, KTLA News reported.

Clarissa Zahedtalab of Irvine left her Irvine home at 6 p.m. Friday, without telling her family where she was going, according to the station.

Though Zahedtalab has left and came back before, family members became worried by 11 p.m. Friday night when she hadn't returned home, and called police.

Irvine police say she might be in the Riverside area, because her family moved from there last month and she still has friends there, KTLA News reported.

Zahedtalab is about 5-feet, 7-inches tall, weights about 120 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes, police said.

Anyone with information about Zahedtalab is asked to call local law enforcement or the Irvine police at (949) 724-7000.
