Two men who escaped from the Marshall County, Kan., jail have been recaptured in Nebraska.
Beatrice, Neb., police Sgt. Tony Lenners said the inmates, Douglas Kling and Westin Canfield, were captured early Monday without incident after a brief foot chase in the southeast Nebraska town.
Marshall County Sheriff Daniel Hargrave said the inmates escaped after overpowering a guard Sunday night. Kling was being held for attempted first-degree murder, while Canfield was charged with burglary and theft.
