Georgia police shot an armed man inside a K-Mart bathroom in Marietta, Ga., Saturday in an indoor firefight that left the assailant dead, authorities said.
Investigators said the incident started when a suspicious man inside the K-Mart bathroom was unresponsive to people asking if he was all right, MyFOX Atlanta reported.
When police were dispatched to the scene and went inside the bathroom, shots were exchanged between officers and the armed man. During the exchange of fire the man was shot. No officers or customers were injured, MyFOX Atlanta reported.
Authorities said the man was transported to a hospital where he later died.
