Oregon Man Finds Lotto Ticket Worth $2.6M While Cleaning His Car

It took five months, but a Portland man has come forward to claim a $2.6 million Megabucks jackpot.

A lottery spokesman says Gordon Carnese bought a $5 Quick Pick ticket for the Dec. 8 drawing, and it included the winning numbers of 5-9-10-12-42-46.

Carnese buys Megabucks tickets on a regular basis, but doesn't always check the numbers right away. He recently brought a handful of tickets to a retailer after cleaning out the glove box in his car.

One of the clerks gasped when discovering that Carnese hit the jackpot.

Carnese claimed his prize last week. He chose 25 annual payments instead of a lump sum.
