ADEL, Ga. – A Cook High School football player has died during spring practice drills.
Cook County coroner Ron Lipsey said 16-year-old Roy Delaney White III collapsed Monday after being hit by another player after a pass reception. He was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital of Adel.
An autopsy is scheduled Wednesday at the state crime lab in Atlanta to determine the cause of death.
