TAMPA, Fla. – Authorities say four teenagers at a Florida school have been charged with sexual assaulting another member of a flag football team attacked with a broomstick and a hockey stick.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said Friday that a 13-year-old was assaulted. It says the attack occurred April 30 at Walker Middle School in Odessa.
The sheriff's office says the boy was held down by two teens while the two others sexually battered him. The office added in an e-mailed statement that the four students were charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment.
The Associated Press is not identifying the victim because of the nature of the crime.
A sheriff's official says the victim had been picked on continually since mid-March.
