Alicia Silverstone Joins Hollywood Celebrities to Spoof Traditional Views on Marriage | Shanna Moakler and Keith Lewis Now Vow to Stand by Their Miss California | Lindsay Lohan Shies Away From "Peepshow"?

The way Hollywood has piled on Carrie Prejean online since the Miss USA pageant on Sunday, you'd think the Christian college student had called for a tax on botox!

>First, Perez Hilton made his thoughts about the "dumb b***h" very clear in a video he posted on his website.

Then Tinseltown took to Twitter, as the likes of Shanna Moakler, Giuliana Rancic, Miley Cyrus and Heidi Montag tweeted their thoughts (see second item).

And now notorious pot-stirrers Funny or Die have spoofed America's so-called fear of "the gay marriage storm."

A slew of stars and starlets including Alicia Silverstone, Lance Bass, George Takei, Sophia Bush, Jason Lewis, Lynne Stewart, Liz Feldman, Drew Droege, Mike Hitchcock, Daniele Gathier, Jay Lay, Erin Foley, Jane Lynch and Sarah Chalke have come together to parody "The Gathering Storm Ad" made by the National Organization for Marriage, which preaches against same-sex unions.>

"I am afraid because I have a fear of storms," Silverstone says melodramatically. "I'm a Massachusetts mother helplessly standing by as the schools teach my children that gay marriage is okay. I also have an issue with their hot lunch program."

The sarcastic tension builds with the stars expressing their horror that "soon these gay people will start falling out of the sky... Onto our homes, onto our churches and onto our families" as people suddenly start dropping onto the set from above.

"They won't stop until all of us and our children are gay married," the stars 'fumed'. "I'm so angry, the storm is coming."

According to the video's producer Lauren Palmigiano, the best way for them to make their message clear was through humor.

"We spent two days in our green screen barn shooting with all the actors. The editing and all that gay rain took a few more days to put together and there you have it," Palmigiano told Tarts. "It's frustrating when people spread misinformation and sometimes the best way to combat it is with a joke. But the biggest joke in this whole debate is that somehow giving all couple equal rights affects anyone else's marriage."

Geoff Kors, the Executive Director of Equality California believes that the while the video is indeed humorous, the issue at hand is no laughing matter.

"NOM (National Organization for Marriage) is using fear to scare people and we believe Americans will reject their discredited and offensive tactics," Kors said.

A rep for NOM responded to the ad Wednesday, telling FOXNews.com:

"While I haven't seen this particular parody, I have seen and enjoyed others; it’s important not to take yourself so seriously you can't take a good joke, and we appreciate how the controversy has helped spread our message." said Maggie Gallagher, President of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM). "On a more serious note: the vitriolic response by Joe Solomonese and others mischaracterizing the millions of people who have these concerns expressed in our ad as ‘liars and bigots’ only tends to confirm our main message: same-sex marriage is not about tolerance, it’s about using the power of law to impose a new morality on an unwilling American people."

"Look at the vitriol directed against Miss California, and ask yourself: what will happen to folks like her who disagree with the government once gay marriage advocates win?" added Brian Brown, Executive Director for NOM, "Same sex marriage has consequences."

Shanna Moakler and Keith Lewis Now Vow to Stand By Their Miss California

Despite being "deeply hurt & saddened" by Carrie Prejean’s response to Perez Hilton’s gay marriage question on Sunday night, California’s state pageant directors Shanna Moakler and Keith Lewis are now vowing to stand by their Miss California and support her until she hands over her state crown at the end of October.

"I am proud of Carrie Prejean’s beauty and placement at the 2009 Miss USA Pageant. I support Carrie’s right to express her personal beliefs, even if they do not coincide with my own," Lewis said in a statement on Tuesday. "I believe the subject of gay marriage deserves a great deal more conversation in order to heal the divide it has created."

Moakler (who spent her Monday twittering about how she agrees with Perez Hilton and apologizing to the state sponsors over Carrie’s "alienating" remarks) has also softened her tune and on Tuesday morning declared that this was "the last she’ll ever say about this on Twitter."

"I can say after not sleeping for about 2 days and trying to sum up emotions in a 30 second interview wasn't easy, I wanted to take to my blog so I can put into words my thoughts and feelings, I find writing is best for me anyway," Moakler wrote on her MySpace page. "First, I want to be clear on the fact, that I have NOT and will not abandon our reigning Miss California, though I have a STRONG difference of opinion, I do NOT hate her, nor do I have any issue with her stating her opinion, she is not the first conservative Christian title holder to be in pageants. I agree with the majority that this IS what makes our country great and that is of course freedom of speech. She was asked a questioned and she answered it."

Mind you, Moakler couldn't help herself but tweet again on Tuesday night:

"The MISS CALIFORNIA USA title is NOT supposed to be used to push your own agenda, that is NOT what pageants are about. the end again 4 me."

But despite Lewis and Moakler's declarations to stand by Prejean, we couldn’t help but notice on the main page of the Miss California USA Web site that the split picture of both Prejean and Miss California Teen Chelsea Gillian was removed on Tuesday and a new picture of Gillian on her own was in its place …

Reps for the pageant did not respond for comment.

But back to Twitter, Moakler wasn't alone in turning to technology to tweet to her hundreds of thousands of "followers" about her feelings.

"I know i'm a journalist, and i should be objective ... but she is an ignorant disgrace and she makes me sick to my stomach," E! News anchor Giuliana Rancic tweeted on Tuesday. "Sorry i wasn't clear...i was referring to miss california as a disgrace. life is short. everyone deserves to love & be loved. Miss cali said "I THINK that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. She's not even sure what she believes! If u are going to state something u believe in, then say it with conviction. otherwise, how can we respect ur so-called "beliefs? Everyone is entitled to their opinion but it seems like she got flustered & didn't really BELIEVE in what she was saying. call me crazy..."

Even Miley Cyrus had something to say to Perez Hilton on the issue.

"[I] am a christian and i love you - gay or not. BECAUSE you are no different that anyone else! we are all gods children! i am not saying this so would be nice on your site (though that would be nice jk;) but because the LORD has spoken "love cuz god loves" hey!!! what about me??? would i make a good miss usa?? ;)"

Heidi Montag, another committed Christian, also twittered her thoughts.

"[L]esbians should have the same government rights that Spencer and I will when we get married. So, yes, this blonde Christian believes in gay marriage. God says not to judge and I would never try to judge ANYONE! Nor should our "free" country," "The Hills" starlet wrote.

Perez Hilton’s fellow pageant "judge" Holly Madison also twittered to Moakler right after the crowning about her not-so-fond feelings.

"[Y]ou did a great job tonight mama! where is the party now, cause I am so upset," she tweeted.

Lindsay Lohan Shies Away From "Peepshow"?

As Pop Tarts first reported, the currently unemployed Lindsay Lohan flew on the producer’s private plane to Las Vegas on the weekend for the premiere of the topless burlesque production "Peepshow." Sources VERY close to the show revealed exclusively that Lohan was in negotiations to take over from Kelly Monaco to play the racy role, however it seems LiLo has now shied away from the idea of flashing her flesh for live audiences night after night.

Lohan’s rep told RadarOnline.com that the 22-year-old "isn’t interested in doing this," however it was quite a different case on Saturday. According to our insiders, Linds was actually the one who had her peeps approach "Peepshow" about the possibility of appearing - not the other way around, plus she was overheard talking about how she’d "do it if the money was right."

"Brooke Burke and Holly Madison are also possibilities for the role," said our source.
