A jealous stripper allegedly attacked a rookie co-worker with a stiletto shoe the first day at her new job, police told the Beacon Journal in Ohio.

The 52-year-old victim, who got the job through a friend because she needed extra money to make ends meet, went to the basement dressing room Friday when the dancer began hitting the woman with her high-heeled shoe, police said.

''The other girls were upset she was there and said, 'We don't need any more dancers around here,' '' Akron police Lt. Rick Edwards told the Beacon Journal.

The victim had multiple cuts on her face and received seven staples, according to police.

The suspect was said to be in her late 40s, the newspaper reported.

Authorities told the Journal that the victim left the hospital before they got there and didn't want to file a report, but under state law, the hospital is required to report the incident.
