Two 19-Year-Olds Kidnapped in New Orleans; Ransom Demanded

New Orleans police have found the car belonging to one of two teenagers kidnapped Sunday morning, but they have not found the missing 19-year-olds.

Police had barricaded an area in the neighborhood where the vehicle was located. Investigators say a ransom demand was made to a family member.

Authorities are searching for Fitzgerald Phillips and Calysse Perkins, both 19, after a witness told police that two men entered an apartment, ransacked the home, forced Phillips and Perkins into Phillips' vehicle and drove off.

The witness told police the suspects stole items from the apartment. Police say the robbery and kidnapping occurred about 2:30 a.m. Authorities say the ransom demand was called in from Phillips' cell phone. Police did not reveal any other details.
