Charlie Sheen's newborn son Max has finally been released from the hospital.
Three weeks after his birth, the baby made it to a weight that allowed him to be released from the hospital, where he had been kept under medical care due to an extremely low birth-weight.
“Premature babies are often underweight,” Stan Rosenfield, Sheen’s representative, told People magazine, “Max made weight and went home.”
Dad Charlie echoed that sentiment earlier this month by saying, “The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term. I know a lot of people are not fond of hospital food; I just didn’t realize that they started so young.”
Rosenfield also pointed out that despite the lost weeks, the new parents will have plenty of quality time to spend with their kids when Charlie’s hit show, Two and a Half Men, goes on hiatus later this week.
While the twins are the first children for Charlie and Brooke, Charlie now has a total of five kids – two daughters with ex-wife Denise Richards, Lola, 3, and Sam, 4, and a 24-year-old daughter, Cassandra, from a previous marriage.
