Charlie Sheen’s twin son Max is still in the hospital follwing his March 14 birth, his rep Stan Rosenfield said Thursday.
Sheen’s wife Brooke Mueller gave birth to twin sons Bob and Max last month, but Max remained in the hospital because he has yet to reach a weight that will permit him to leave a hospital, according to a report in Us magazine.
“Max is expected to reach the weight requirement shortly and will join his brother [Bob] at home,” Rosenfield said in a statement. “The Sheens appreciate the outpouring of concern but have assured everyone that both Bob and Max are fine.
“The weight issue is very common among infants who were born before reaching full term,” Sheen added in a statement to Us.
The statement corrected earlier reports that Max was suffering from a heart condition.
Sheen, 43, and Mueller, 31, were married last May.
